RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication”, and it is a great new tool for reading your favorite sites quickly. The trick is this: with RSS, you can separate the articles and content from the sites you read every day from their design. Using a Feed Reader, your subscribed sites will show up in your inbox every day.
To get started, check out Google Reader — Google’s free online application for aggregating your favorite sites. When you create your account, make sure to take the online tour to learn more about RSS, and set up your account with great sites (like this one!).
